Every Sanborn Canoe Co. paddle is handcrafted in Winona, Minnesota.

 

Even though it’s name is in homage to all the lakes in our great state of Minnesota we know that naming it The Laker may stereotype this paddle as a one-dimensional flat water paddle. In truth The Laker boasts a middle-of-the-road blade size adaptable enough to handle the rolling ocean, calm canoe country lakes, rivers and anywhere else you fancy to skim across the water.

 

The Laker has a striking western red and white cedar blade wrapped in 4-layers of fiberglass. Not to be outdone the shaft is a mix of cedar and cherry with fiberglass running up the lower section. An epoxy tip caps off the end to add strength and protection from rocks and logs.
